Project Overview

American Structural Engineering (ASE) served as a DBE sub-consultant to JMT for the 2024–2025 Regions 3 & 7 Biennial Inspection Program under the New York State Department of Transportation (NYSDOT). ASE deployed a dedicated inspection team consisting of Team Leaders (TL) and Assistant Team Leaders (ATL) to conduct bridge inspections throughout Region 3. The project scope included detailed structural inspections, bridge condition assessments, and preparation of reports using the BDIS system. ASE was responsible for identifying and issuing structural flags and Condition Monitoring Reports (CMRs) where required. The team also inspected critical and special-emphasis structural members while ensuring accurate updates to bridge inventory records and supporting documentation in full compliance with NYSDOT standards and procedures. Through technical expertise, field coordination, and rigorous quality control, ASE contributed to maintaining the safety, reliability, and long-term performance of transportation infrastructure across the region.
