CURRENT OPPORTUNITIES

Team Leader – NY/NJ

American Structural Engineering (ASE) is currently seeking Bridge Inspection Team Leader for our NY and NJ offices. ASE is a fast growing company and over the past years, ASE has established strong reputation by delivering wide range of projects for our clients in public and private sector.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead bridge inspection crews and coordinate teams and equipment
  • Prepare in-office support for field inspection, such as planning and scheduling field operation and development of inspection documentation forms prior to field work
  • Perform field inspection duties and subsequent inspection reports in compliance with the clients requirements
  • Client field liaison for field activities
  • Enforce safe field operation

Qualifications:

  • Must be qualified as a Team Leader in accordance with the NBIS
  • Completion of NHI 130055 Safety Inspection of In-Service Bridges
  • Active PE license
  • A BS degree in Civil Engineering with a minimum experience of 4 years bridge inspection is required. MS degree in Civil Engineering is preferred.
  • Direct experience with NYSDOT/NYSTA in required
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience with NYCDOT/TBTA/PANYNJ/NJDOT/NJTA agencies is a plus
  • Bridge Design/Rehabilitation/Load Rating experience will be a plus
  • Active Driver License EOE/M/F/D/VEV

Assistant Team Leader – NY/NJ

American Structural Engineering (ASE) is currently seeking Bridge Inspection Assistant Team Leader for our NY and NJ offices. ASE is a fast growing company and over the past years, ASE has established strong reputation by delivering wide range of projects for our clients in public and private sector.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist Team Leader to perform Bridge Inspection
  • Prepare in-office support for field inspection, such as planning and scheduling field operation and development of inspection documentation forms prior to field work
  • Perform field inspection duties and subsequent inspection reports in compliance with the clients requirements

Qualifications:

  • BS in Civil Engineering. MS degree in Civil or, Structural Engineering is preferred.
  • Minimum 1-2 years of recent experience in Bridge Inspection/Design/Load Rating
  • Active Driver License
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • EIT certification will be a plus
  • Familiarity with NYSDOT/NYSTA/TBTA/PANYNJ/NJDOT/NJTA agencies is a plus
  • Physically capable of performing continuous field work including but not limited to working at heights, working within confined spaces, working in adverse weather, etc.
  • Proficiency with MS Word and Excel
  • Familiarity with MicroStation or Auto CAD EOE/M/F/D/VEV
