Bronx Whitestone Bridge Biennial Inspection

Project Overview
American Structural Engineering (ASE) served as an MBE sub-consultant to ATANE for the 2017 biennial inspection and design support of the Whitestone Bridge under Triborough Bridge and Tunnel Authority. ASE deployed one full inspection team, including a Team Leader (TL) and Assistant Team Leader (ATL), to perform detailed inspections of the bridge’s main span and both Bronx and Queens approaches. The ASE team was responsible for evaluating all active structural and safety flags, inspecting critical and special emphasis members, updating inventory, preparing inspection forms, and final report documentation. The project also included providing structural design support based on inspection findings to assist in the maintenance and repair planning of the bridge.
