Project Overview

American Structural Engineering (ASE) served as an MBE sub-consultant to HNTB for the 2019 biennial inspection of the Queens Midtown Tunnel (QMT) and Hugh L. Carey Tunnel (HLCT) under Triborough Bridge and Tunnel Authority. ASE provided one Team Leader as part of a three-team leadership structure to oversee and perform inspections of critical tunnel infrastructure. The scope included inspection of construction shafts, tunnel gates, tunnel tubes, and other structural components. The inspection ensured that all structural elements met safety and operational standards, with detailed documentation and reporting in compliance with project requirements.
